While the Farm has been in the family for over 30 years, we didn't try to actually 'farm' it until 1987. A fire destroyed my business in Southbridge and that gave me the opportunity to make a change in lifestyle and find different ways to earn money on the farm. There are lots of creative ways to use farm land that are not strictly the traditional dairy farms and grain crops. Anyone with a small farm can find a good number of different ways to utilize the land that allow you to keep it zoned as a farm, and green space, and yet have it fit in with our half regular work and half hobby farm life styles.
