About
You will find all of us working on the farm at different times of the day and year. Cale is the day to day caretaker for the hens and goats. I tend to be the main goat milker and even though it's one of the last tasks of the day, it is something I enjoy.
Neither Cale nor I grew up on a farm, but we had connections through our grandparents. Cale's Papa farmed for a living and we have an article in the paper about the 80th garden he planted - 80+ years of farming! I often hear Cale say "I wish Papa was hear to teach me about this" or "I wish Papa could see this". Cale had a desire to farm that he told me about on our second date - blueberries, goats and chickens. And you can find all of those at the farm now!
My connection to farming was through the large vegetable gardens my grandparents would plant each summer. Sundays meant family dinners with all the aunts, uncles and cousins filled with fried okra and fresh cut tomatoes from the garden. That sense of family and summer was what I connected most to farming. (And it's what I love most about our Farm to Table Dinners).
What farming means to me now is family. It strengthens our relationships and gives us time to connect in so many ways. This sense of family and relationship is what we strive to bring to all of the weddings that we host on the farm. We want you to feel like this is your home for the day and build stronger relationships with your friends and family.
We would love to meet you and show you around our farm. Give us a call for a wedding tour, join us at a Farm to Table Dinner or come visit during blueberry season!

Farming Practices
We have both learned a lot about farming since we started in 2014:
Learned that you should start squash from seed - not plants purchased at the store
Learned the importance of weed barrier
Learned ways to keep birds out of blueberry bushes - reflective bird ribbon
Learned ways to keep deer and groundhogs out of pumpkin patches - deer netting
Learned we are not in control - we put the hard work in and rely on God to produce
